    • Schedules disposition boards, unscheduled reclassification boards, trusty custody boards, and temporary/emergency home parole boards in accordance with regulatory guidance, as applicable.
    • Ensures completeness and proper forwarding of records to Service Clemency and Parole Boards.
    • Coordinates with Service Clemency and Parole Board reference updating documents that have forwarded to the Service Board.
    • Conducts interviews with inmates on the process of preparing for disposition boards and regulatory guidelines.
    • Enter and retrieve date from various information sources, for use in answering questions, responding to correspondence, or preparing reports or briefings.
    • Operate a computer, peripheral equipment and appropriate software to perform various computer operations in support of office operations, such as producing reports and maintaining databases.
    • Type, edit, format, and print a variety of documents including correspondence, reports, technical notes, presentation, and briefing material.
    • Make necessary corrections in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and format.
    • Consolidate information for various reports in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.

    • Employee must be able to pass a Criminal History Background Check. Candidates under consideration will be required to certify whether they have ever been convicted of such an offense.

    • All Army Corrections Command employees are required to take 40 hours of training annually. Employees will receive basic training in inmate supervision and security as well as specialized training in their field.

    • This position requires the employee to complete the Army Corrections Command (ACC) Pre-Service Training program. Pre-Service Training emphasizes the responsibilities of each individual to maintain security and control of inmates, appropriate staff/inmate interaction and understanding the rules of inmate conduct.
    • The employee will comply with all provisions of the 15th Military Police (MP) Brigade (BDE) Regulation 190-3, Rules of Conduct and ACC Policy Letter #17, Standards of Conduct. Violation of either regulation may result in denial of security/access badge, be subject to disciplinary action under civilian personnel regulations or criminal prosecution under 18 United States Code (USC) 1791 or other applicable Federal or state laws.
    • In Accordance With (IAW) 28 Code Rule and Regulation (C.R.R.) Part 115, Prison Rape Elimination Act, the Military Correctional Complex (MCC) shall not hire or promote anyone who may have contact with inmates, who: has engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility, or other institution (as defined in 42 U.S.C. 1997); has been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse; or has been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse.
    • NOTE: Personnel who enter the Military Correctional Complex consent to inspection of their person and property, including their vehicle, at any time their property or vehicle is within the fence line of the United States Disciplinary Barracks (USDB) or Midwest Joint Regional Correctional Facility (JRCF), or within the grounds or facilities outside the fence line but still controlled by the Military Correctional Complex. Such inspections are for the purpose of ensuring the safety, security, custody and control of the Military Correctional Complex.
    • NOTE: Department of Defense Instruction, Number 1325.07 states all confinement facility personnel shall possess a high degree of maturity and emotional stability; and have no civilian felony convictions or court-martial convictions for any offense with a maximum authorized sentence to confinement of over one year. Section 639 of Public Law 106-554 requires agencies to remove law enforcement officers from employment as law enforcement officers if they are convicted of a felony.
    In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Performs general administrative duties; operates word processing and other computer applications to produce reports, correspondence and/or update or revise a variety of documents; and reviews correspondence for accuracy in spelling, grammar and/or formatting. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

    Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

    OR

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

    Additional Minimum Qualifications:
    This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5-minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
