Occupational Medicine Director jobs in New Hampshire
Occupational Medicine Director directs the design and implementation of occupational medicine service offerings that support the needs of local businesses and workers. Maintains working relationships with local industries to ensure current issues are addressed and that the needs of the working community are met. Being an Occupational Medicine Director analyzes occupation related costs and case data; reports trends and status to management. Develops programs, guidelines, and standards for occupational service delivery that support the organization's overall strategy. Additionally, Occupational Medicine Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. The Occupational Medicine Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. The Physician is responsible for supervising and providing necessary and desirable medical care within the Physician’s specialty, specifically Federal Aviation Administration exams, to Dartmouth-Hitchcock patients, consistent with the policies and procedures of DHC, the facility at which care is rendered, and the directions of the Service Line Leader or his/her designee.
If the Physician’s specialty is such that call coverage is required, it is expected that the Physician will rotate call coverage with those physicians and allied health professionals in his or her specialty (as applicable) so that each provider, including the Physician, has a comparable amount of on call time during nights, weekends, and holidays for providing coverage outside of standard business hours. Parties expect that while on call, physician shall remain in close proximity as directed by department chair or designee.
In addition to the Physician’s clinical responsibilities, the Physician will spend sufficient and reasonable time on administrative and record-keeping matters pertaining to the Physician’s medical practice.
