Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal works in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of newborn patients. Provides care for newborns and infants in a neonatal setting. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Neonatal requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a physician. Requires Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Fairfax Neonatal Associates, P.C. is seeking experienced and highly motivated, full time Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join our private practice group located in Northern Virginia. Our teams works in aware winning community hospitals in the Northern Virginia region to include Inova Fairfax, Inova Fair Oaks and Inova Loudon Hospital.
Experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners preferred. NCC certification and licensed in Virginia as a Nurse Practitioner required. Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified.
