Being a Neurology Director directs neurology staff involved in the diagnosis and care of patients. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Neurology Director typically reports to top management. The Neurology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Neurology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. We are working with a well-established, Physician lead, multi-specialty practice near New Orleans and they are looking for a Neurology Physician to join their team! This position will be mostly outpatient (90%), with some inpatient (10%) responsibilities.
If you are looking for an opportunity to mentor others, then this is the role for you. The incoming Neurologist will have an Internal Medicine Resident shadow throughout the year.
The case mix will include seizure, headache, ALS, MS, epilepsy, and other general neurological cases.
