Network Operations Manager manages the daily operations of the organization's network infrastructure, including hardware, software, security, and services, to ensure it meets the organization's performance objectives. Implements policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimize downtime, and support efficient operations. Being a Network Operations Manager provides network administrators and technicians with training in the best practices and technologies. Ensures logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes. Additionally, Network Operations Manager leads troubleshooting and resolution of routine network issues and conducts root cause analysis (RCA) to prevent recurrences and identify potential technological, training, or process improvements. Automates routine tasks using scripting or basic programs. Advises on budget expenditures to ensure required tools and equipment are procured and maintained. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Network Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    This position is exposed to a variety of areas of law and work across all divisions of the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. The position works under the direction of the Legal Specialist in the Information Management Division and assists with various legal issues of the Department. The position assists in managing the litigation holds for the Department. Additionally, the position assists with discovery, subpoena response, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and legal research.

    This position requires current enrollment in Law School.

    The selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person) or a fully remote work schedule (with occasional travel to their official work location). Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed. When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.
