Position Summary

This is a Junior Mortgage Loan Processor position and is responsible for assisting the Sr. Loan Processor with daily duties including ordering verifications, transcripts, and other job duties. Progressing through phase training to advance to a Sr. Processor as positions open. This is an in-office position, and can be in our Gilbert, AZ location or Houston, TX location.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Receive and review complete loan applications originated by the loan officer
• Works with Sr. Processor to follow up on items needed for final approval from the borrower
• Orders services needed and as directed by Sr. Processor for file packaging
• Maintain effective communication with agents and customers to obtain timely receipt of loan packages, executed Agreement of Sale, and all trailing loan documents
• Ensuring accuracy and completeness if loan documentation necessary for loan approval and closing
• Responsible for ensuring loan documentation is accurate and complies with company policy
• Submit loan files to underwriting
• Assists with any other task assigned by the processor to assist the processor in closing the loan file

Experience & Education

• Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination program and underwriting guidelines
• Proficient with standard software such as Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Maintain proper and professional etiquette and appearance.
• Strong attention to details, high degree of accuracy and excellent organizational skills
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Well organized with the ability to multi-task
• Self-discipline, an aptitude for making good decisions and works efficiently under deadlines
• Must be able to handle the pressure of a fast-paced office high work volume
• The ability to work both independently and as a team member
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of escrow, from opening to closing, is required
• Must have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass a background check
• Minimum of one-year experience in the mortgage industry
