Industrial Maintenance Technician- Night Shift

Your role our team

The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for the completion of planned, preventive, and unplanned maintenance on a highly advanced automated material handling system in a distribution center environment.

The ideal EM Tech is focused on maximizing system up-time and performance through safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities.

Primary Responsibilities

• Approach all tasks and situations with a Safety First mindset
• Maximize system performance and up-time through effective execution of all maintenance-related activities
• Participate in a broad array of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision
• Support Production Team through basic fault correction coaching and troubleshooting
• Assist in the installation of new or refurbishment of existing system components
• Facilitate continuous improvement activities through broad system knowledge and site-specific enhancements

Ideal candidate profile

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Strong electrical (3-Phase, 480V, DC and 24V controls) and mechanical skills
• Familiarity with electrics / mechanics in drive technology (motors / gears)
• Familiarity with control technology (PLC / controls / inverters)
• Knowledge of wiring diagrams and electrical measuring
• Comfort working with wide assortment of computer systems (Microsoft Office Suite, proprietary system monitoring programs, etc.)
• Ability to work in team environment
• Required : High school diploma with at 1-2 years experience in relevant electrical and / or mechanical role
• Preferred : Associates degree in industrial technology or related field with 2-4 years experience in relevant electrical and / mechanical role
• Experience maintaining material handling systems in a light industry or distribution center environment strong preferred
• Continuous walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and standing
• Working at heights of up to 80-100 feet wearing fall-arrest gear and other PPE
• Lifting, pulling and pushing up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Working in ambient air conditions
