You’ll join the Merchandising team to support the buying team by executing administrative and routine functions, as well as a variety of tasks needed to support office efficiency.
This contract goes until 9 / 7 / 24 extension. The role is located in Bolingbrook Illinois , and is hybrid on-site 3 days / month.
Part-Time Merchandising Coordinator Responsibilities :
- Logs, organizes, and catalogs brand submissions and samples. Documents feedback received from core category teams regarding brand presentations.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating brand meetings to ensure efficient communication and collaboration.
- Maintains accurate Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) information according to Merchant discretion. This includes initiating shelf tag requests, managing description changes, handling brand charges, updating style and feature codes, implementing store classification changes, overseeing product display pages, and processing markdowns
- Initiates and sets up offers for all promotions within Promo Advisor, utilizing both print and master side-by-side comparisons for accuracy.
- Executes marketing sign requests and ensures proper proofing. Maintains a well-organized system for product samples, proofs for magazine pages, and digital assets to guarantee accuracy.
Integrates brand and item data into email and homepage wireframes for marketing campaigns.
- Contributes to the planogram process by submitting pricing requests, setting up new SKUs, implementing changes to existing SKU coding, inputting markdowns, executing exit strategies (including initiating Returns to Vendor (RTV) and Discrepancy In Findings (DIF) processes), and proofing planogram graphics.
- Prepares internal store memos and communication requests. Responds to help desk tickets with proactive solutions to address departmental needs.
- Offers general administrative support, including maintaining brand contact information, facilitating brand and vendor meetings, and undertaking additional tasks as assigned.
Part-Time Merchandising Coordinator Requirements :
- 2 years of relevant work experience preferred; ideal is a mix of both retail and office / corporate experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in retail merchandising or relevant field preferred
- Professional accountability to timely delivery and quality execution
- Creative problem solver with an innovative mindset
- Strong collaborator with both internal and external brand partners
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong working knowledge of excel (v-look ups and formulas)
- Ability to plan and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving business
- Strives to continuously improve the coordination of merchandising activities and tasks
