Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and select a variety of products that align with the FTL UTD brand and appeal to our fans.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, terms, and quality for merchandise.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of merchandise.

• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and popular products within the sports and retail industries.
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Attend trade shows, supplier meetings, and industry events to stay updated on new products and trends.

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Collaborate with the inventory team to forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss and maximize efficiency.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for new supplier partnerships.
• Resolve any issues related to product quality, delivery, or pricing.

• Develop and manage budgets for merchandise purchases.
• Monitor and control spending to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Provide regular reports on purchasing activities and budget performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a buyer or in a similar purchasing role, preferably within the sports or retail industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for sports and knowledge of the soccer industry is a plus.
