Job Summary:

The Retail Warehouse Manager/Assistant Buyer will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, and assisting in the procurement of merchandise. This dual-role position requires a dynamic individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and distribution of products.
• Ensure accurate inventory management, including regular cycle counts and audits.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with safety standards.
• Implement and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise warehouse staff, providing training and support as needed.
• Coordinate with the logistics team to manage shipping and receiving schedules.

Assistant Buying:

• Assist in the selection and procurement of merchandise in line with company objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive pricing, and product demand.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Analyze sales data and inventory levels to make informed buying decisions.
• Collaborate with management to ensure product availability and promotional support.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, or related field.
• Experience in retail buying or procurement is a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed

• Driver's License (Preferred)
