Materials Handling Supervisor supervises and coordinates the work of employees who load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. Processes orders from requisitions and dispenses items from stock. Being a Materials Handling Supervisor oversees the utilization of hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Additionally, Materials Handling Supervisor ensures procedures are according to specifications and that resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met. May assist in inventory of stock and stock rotation. Enters information into a computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored data, or respond to inquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Role
GTI is seeking an experienced Materials Supervisor that will be responsible for supporting supply chain activities at the cultivation center inclusive of; processing, production scheduling & planning, inventory management, material resource management, procurement, supply chain performance and logistics. As the Materials Supervisor you’ll coordinate with on the ground leadership to direct all the daily processes and long-term targets of our incoming materials & finished goods inventory, as well as product distribution. You’ll grind away at the details of managing internal resources to maximize safety, efficiency, productivity, and culture. You’ll also blaze the path toward creating and developing the multilevel professional team in Ohio, and you’ll work closely as part of the leadership team to keep every detail of the facility up to snuff. You will be the one to ensure word class warehouse standards are maintained, complete and accurate orders are processed and delivered, and inventory integrity is maintained. The operational duties are mostly tactical/hands-on and direct in nature and require substantial time to be spent on the plant floor working closely and directly with all employees.
