As a marketing intern you will collaborate with the Marketing Director in all stages of marketing campaigns and help develop, expand, and maintain marketing channels. The Marketing Intern reports directly to the Marketing Director.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assist with the development, management and maintenance of social media accounts, including organizing cross-platform content strategies
- Monitor social channels for trending news, ideas and memes, then capitalize on those trends through our social media accounts
- Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics
- Help to further the development and use of Google (Business) and other related online marketing
- Stay familiar with vacancy reports and able to analyze occupancy trends
- Create marketing strategies to act on vacancy report numbers
- Assist in the development of marketing strategies and implementation
- Develop and create advertising materials
- Analyze market trends to assist with development of marketing plans
- Assist in maintenance of ongoing marketing for specific locations and properties
- Assist in building content for quarterly company newsletters
- Assist with community and corporate office event planning
- Assist in development of resident retention
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized and manages time well
- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly
- Familiarity with social media strategies and platforms
- Experience with content creation a plus, even if not professionally
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign is preferred but not required
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Pointe)
Background and Experience
- Pursuing a degree in marketing, business, public relations, or related fields
