POSITION SUMMARY:

Serves as the primary engineering resource for one or more manufacturing facilities.  Identifies, develops and executes solutions for quality and performance improvements on production systems.

The Engineering Technician supports the continuous improvement program for one or more locations. The core deliverables are elimination of losses & waste and increase the stability of our technical packaging equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Prioritize human and food safety at all times

·         Lead installation and startup efforts for assigned projects

• Mechanical and electrical installation
• Support Engineering & Training teams in providing training for operators and mechanics
• Support Maintenance in creating & implementing a robust PM schedule
• Work with Operations to ensure system and machinery understanding
• Support development of Work Instructions
• Maintain accountability post-production startup to ensure a sustainable operating system and to address punch list items

·         Support plant & functional priorities as assigned

• Maintenance capabilities

·         Support Engineering in early management stage of new projects

• New systems, new products, etc.
• Represent operational and maintenance considerations to ensure a robust design
