Our customer has an immediate need for a Mainframe COBOL/IDMS Programmer to support a large mainframe payroll application. This role will be part of the Programming Team with responsibility of translating software requirements into design specifications and coding the new requirements
Minimum Requirements- Working knowledge of DMLO, REXX, CLIST, IDMS SQL, and JCL.
- Minimum 3-5 years COBOL/IDMS programming experience.
- Security Certification is required prior to starting.
- Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
- A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills- Experience with AGILE methodology..
- Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
- Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
