Description

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Analyst to provide support at the SAIC Middletown, RI Office for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center for multiple programs.

 Job Duties:

• Source, negotiate and purchase IT Hardware and software, fabricated parts, machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies and incidental services necessary for operation of an organization or program.
• Interface with vendors to obtain quotes, processing Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders, updating Excel spreadsheets with relevant information, kitting and tracking inventory, interfacing with customers to develop procurement requirements and to provide status updates.
• Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
• Monitor performance of suppliers.
• Track data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience Ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
• MS Office proficiency including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Quick learner and proactive.
• Ability to manage logistical issues.

Desired:

• DoD experience.
• Procurement experience.
• Ability to work with databases.
