LMI is seeking a skilled LOGISTICS ANALYST at the Army Materiel Command (AMC) Headquarters Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities
- Serves in the AMC Operations Center and assists in the planning, coordinating, and synchronization of the use of facilities, equipment, and manpower.
- Performs Action Officer duties regarding readiness and planning. Performs tasks including mission analysis of HQDA Execution Orders (EXORDs), Operation Orders (OPORDs) and Fragmentary Orders (FRAGOs) as assigned by the AMC Chief of Operations.
- Coordinates requirements and resolves issues for the AMC Command Group, G3, other AMC staff sections and AMC subordinate commands.
- Analyzes operational support requirements from HQDA, Army Major Commands (MACOMs), other DOD Agencies and Army Component Commands and recommends courses of action.
- Evaluates stated and implied tasks and their impacts on the command’s mission and resources.
- Assists in the conduct of meetings and briefings for AMC and Army Senior Leaders as directed by the Chief of Operations.
- Accomplishes special project taskings and other assignments as directed.
- Independently initiates time-sensitive staff work, based upon written orders, verbal orders, established policies and procedures for HQs, AMC.
- Informs the chain of command regarding identified problem areas, providing recommended solutions for new or modified processes and procedures as needed.
- Reviews, comments, and provides recommendations to all regulations, studies, staff papers, and other documents related to operational issues.
- Synchronizes the flow of information between HQDA, other MACOMs, AMC subordinate Commands, and other stakeholders.
- Surge support / overtime may be required in response to emerging requirements and crisis situations.
Qualifications
MINIMUM:
- Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to write, edit and proofread a variety of presentations, position papers and memoranda.
- Strong interpersonal, listening, and questioning skills. Able to interact effectively with senior Army Staff clients on a daily basis. Adaptable to flexible work styles, environments, and locations.
- Must be self-directed, detail oriented, and resourceful in completing assigned tasks and projects within assigned deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint).
- Available for occasional travel.
- This position requires an active security clearance at the SECRET level. You must be a US citizen.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Master’s degree or higher in related discipline.
- Graduate of Army Command and General Staff College (CGSC) or Army War College (or Service equivalents).
- Prior experience working on Army Staff, AMC, or ASCC level of support.
- Working knowledge of Army Sustainment.
