Follows all portion and presentation specifications and proper preparation methods. Being a Line Cook sets up and stocks workstation with all necessary supplies. Coordinates with other line cooks to ensure meals are delivered consistently and on time. Additionally, Line Cook is responsible for operating and maintaining a single workstation. May prepare sauces or garnishes. Follows all applicable guidelines and regulations for food handling and safety. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a sous chef or executive chef. The Line Cook works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. ISM seeks an experienced Line Cook to join our Dining Services team. Regularly scheduled shifts : during the School Year (now - June 14th) : Sunday - Thursday approximately 10 : 30 a.
m. to 7 : 00 pm, or as scheduled. Dates may change. Summer may be an option, if desired, scheduled during Monday - Friday.
A Line Cook is responsible for preparing and seasoning various kinds of foods items, including vegetables, meats, and soups by following a prescribed recipe, with the aim of giving the customer an awesome service.
