ISM seeks an experienced Line Cook to join our Dining Services team. Regularly scheduled shifts : during the School Year (now - June 14th) : Sunday - Thursday approximately 10 : 30 a.

m. to 7 : 00 pm, or as scheduled. Dates may change. Summer may be an option, if desired, scheduled during Monday - Friday.

A Line Cook is responsible for preparing and seasoning various kinds of foods items, including vegetables, meats, and soups by following a prescribed recipe, with the aim of giving the customer an awesome service.

Required :

• MN Food Handler card. Serv safe certificate a plus!
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2 years' experience in a Kitchen.
• Ability to pass required background check.
• Experience in global cuisine and catering background, preferred.
• Able to lift 40 pounds.
• Preform duties autonomously and without supervision.
• Willingness and able to perform cashier and / or support computer skills, as requested.

Essential Skills :

• Uses experience and / or knowledge of cooking methods in slicing, grinding, and cooking meats and vegetables, and also ensures the quality of foods being cooked by testing it.
• Must have advanced quality knife skills to prepare food requirements needed for each day’s production, for the chef.
• Experience in promoting a safety culture in all areas in the workplace, including food safety, customer safety, and the safety of team members.
• Ensures work environment, equipment, and utensils are cleaned.
• Knowledge to be responsible for preparing special diets by following established standard.
