Licensing Manager oversees the licensing of employees responsible for the sale and marketing of insurance, loan, or investment products. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations; maintains all necessary records. Being a Licensing Manager manages license acquisition and renewal processes. Establishes databases or recordkeeping policies and strategies to track the status of agents, applications, and forms. Additionally, Licensing Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Licensing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Licensing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Examiner – Practical Licensing Exam - Cosmetology & Barber (New Mexico)

  • WANTED: The New Mexico Board of Cosmetology contracts with Virtual to administer practical licensing examinations. Virtual is looking for licensed cosmetologists, aestheticians, nail technicians, and barbers to become NIC-certified examiners for the practical examinations. The licensed professionals who successfully complete the required online training will be invited to join the existing examination team. Virtual and NIC provide training and certification to examiners for the examinations annually. Certified examiners score candidates as they take the practical examination for professional licensure.

    Job Description:

    • Provide consistent and specific standards in scoring candidates as they take the practical exam.
    • You must be able to stand on your feet for up to four hours without sitting.
    • Assist the rest of the examination team with pre-exam setup.
    • Must maintain a professional attitude and provide a high-level customer service to the examination candidates.

    Requirements:

    • Be at least 18 years old;
    • Have no affiliation with a school associated with cosmetology-related professions for the past 2 years;
    • Current and active license in one of the fields listed above;
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in your field;
    • Be currently employed in your field;
    • Be available to work Mondays, 7 am to 6 pm with potential availability for Tuesdays, 7 am to 6 pm;
    • Live within 15-20 miles of Albuquerque, NM, and be able to work on-site at the exam location.

    Additional Information:

    • Part-time (8-10 hours monthly)
    • Pay is $17/hour.
