Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering medication, and collecting specimens. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing. Monitors and reports changes in patient's condition to supervisor. Additionally, Licensed Practical Nurse requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Licensed Practical Nurse's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Job Description
The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patients, performing routine checks, and assisting the clinical team at the community. A successful LPN has the ability to take direction and work well in stressful situations. A good LPN has great observational skills and empathy for patients while remaining professional.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients throughout their treatment
- Perform routine checks of patients' vital signs
- Ensure that patients take their medication
- Assist RNs and other members of the medical team at the community
- Liaise with patients' families
- Completed LPN license program
- Computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
