Job Description:

Three Points Land is hiring a Surface Landman/ROW Acquisition Agent to facilitate the acquisition of land rights necessary for infrastructure projects. This includes negotiating with property owners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to secure the required permissions, easements, and land access rights in Blaine County, Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research to identify properties and land parcels needed for the project. Analyze property records, legal documents, and maps to understand ownership, zoning regulations, and other relevant information.
2. Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with property owners to obtain the necessary rights while ensuring fair and equitable agreements. Negotiate terms such as compensation, easement rights, and access permissions.
3. Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to land acquisition and property rights. Work closely with legal counsel to review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
4. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with property owners, government agencies, community representatives, and other stakeholders involved in the acquisition process. Address concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional and diplomatic manner.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of all negotiations, agreements, and transactions. Generate reports on the status of land acquisition activities, including updates on progress, challenges, and resolutions.
6. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and other team members to ensure that land acquisition activities align with project timelines and objectives. Provide input and support to project planning and development processes.
7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to land acquisition, such as legal disputes, environmental issues, or public opposition. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure smooth progress of the acquisition process.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work remotely as well as on-site. Some travel is required.
• Previous experience in real estate, land acquisition, or property management preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to land acquisition.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using software tools for research, documentation, and reporting.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed to meet project requirements.
