General Summary
As the Controller, you will oversee the accounting, treasury, and financial reporting operations of the company. Your responsibilities will include process and system improvements, adherence to policies and internal controls, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records and reporting. Leading the corporate accounting team, you will collaborate with company personnel to optimize financial operations and reporting.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain productive relationships with Revenue Cycle and Operations leaders, as well as the Corporate Accounting team.
Foster positive relationships with third-party vendors as needed.
Provide strategic accounting leadership to ensure timely and accurate monthly-close processes.
Proactively develop team, processes, and systems infrastructure in a rapidly growing environment.
Present financial information and analyses to leadership.
Oversee working capital and cash management processes and reporting.
Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures and implement controls to minimize risk and increase consistency and accuracy.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with accounting principles.
Develop annual budgets, monitor budget vs. actual performance, and provide insights to leadership.
Support expense management initiatives through financial analysis.
Collaborate with external CPA firm for annual tax filings.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in the healthcare industry.
Strong management and supervisory skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Sound judgment and discretion.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to understand technical forms and financial reports.
Compensation
Salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000 per year.
