Investment Specialist analyzes and researches financial markets, securities, and investment products to assess risks, evaluate potential returns, and make informed investment decisions for an organization. Collects and researches economic data, financial metrics, and market conditions to develop and build financial models, forecasts, and investment strategies. Being an Investment Specialist monitors and analyzes portfolio performance, asset allocation, and risk exposure to ensure alignment with the organization's investment objectives, strategies, and risk tolerance levels. Prepares investment reports and analyses on investment opportunities or strategies to identify trends and recommend actions for the organization. Additionally, Investment Specialist utilizes mathematical formulas and statistical analyses to identify potential or alternative investments and calculate and evaluate financial health, returns, and fair value of securities, assets, or other investments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Investment Specialist work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group.     Key Responsibilities:

    Community Engagement:

    • Conduct community outreach to raise awareness about the Resource Equity Program and its benefits among historically displaced communities in Seattle.
    • Establish connections with community members, leaders, and organizations to foster partnerships and collaborations.

    Outreach Activities:

    • Develop and implement outreach strategies, including door-to-door canvassing and engagement at community locations like churches, community centers, and grocery stores.
    • Attend community events and meetings to share information about the program and actively participate in discussions.

    Partnership Building:

    • Collaborate with community organizations, churches, and nonprofits to promote the program and identify potential program participants.
    • Develop strong relationships with partners to enhance the program's reach and impact.

    Recruitment and Enrollment:

    • Identify and recruit legacy homeowners and individuals from historically displaced communities who could benefit from the program.
    • Facilitate the enrollment process and provide assistance in accessing wealth-building knowledge.

    Data Collection and Reporting:

    • Collect and maintain data related to outreach efforts, community feedback, and program interest.
    • Prepare regular reports on outreach activities, participant engagement, and impact.

    Tools, Hours, and Location:

    • The Community Outreach Specialist utilizes communication tools and resources for outreach activities.
    • Full-time position, with flexibility for evening and weekend community engagement events.
    • Office location at the nonprofit's headquarters, with frequent travel to target community locations for outreach activities.
