The Mission Integration (MI) role requires developing detailed knowledge of satellite systems, subsystems, and components, in order to ensure satellite programs meet mission objectives. From system concept to on-orbit operations the Mission Integration Engineer is key in supporting the multidisciplinary engineering teams during their design, development, integration and test. A successful candidate will have a broad understanding of embedded systems engineering and related disciplines including electrical, software, and test in the aerospace industry.
Mission Integration Engineers will work under the supervision of Systems Engineering and/or Technical leads on a satellite vehicle program. In close proximity with both engineering teams and program management the MI Engineer will support or take responsibility for mission requirements management, system modelling, system simulation, operational documentation, on-orbit procedure development, planning, lab integration and formal test of hardware systems at SEAKR. The MI Engineer will additionally support post-delivery efforts including integration of SEAKR systems into larger Space Vehicle platforms through launch and early orbit operations. Using the knowledge developed over the course of a program a successful MI Engineer should be able to lead vehicle operations and execution of mission operations procedures.
Key responsibilities and requirements for this position:
Compensation: Base pay range is $80,000 - $95,000 depending on qualifications. SEAKR has very rich medical, dental and vision insurance plans, along with a generous 401(k) retirement plan. In addition to base salary, employees are eligible for a year-end bonus. SEAKR offers a variety of paid leave, such as vacation, sick, bereavement, and FMLA.
