Instructor - Educational Assessment teaches courses in the discipline area of educational assessment, testing, and measurement. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Instructor - Educational Assessment provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Instructor - Educational Assessment typically reports to a department head. Has a Master's degree or is a PhD candidate in the applicable field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate level and possesses the qualifications to participate in research. Educational Testing Consultants, Inc. is seeking contract instructors to teach SAT preparation classes to be held in partnership with Westfield State University. Successful candidates will possess previous teaching or public speaking experience and a willingness to work weekends in the early fall. Bachelor’s degree is required.
Class sessions cover both math and verbal skills and are presented using PowerPoint modules. The PowerPoint course materials have been created by experienced test preparation instructors and former test item writers, so no curriculum development will be required with the position.
Several courses are planned for fall 2024 with each one-day course consisting of 6 face-to-face hours of classroom instruction. Pay rate begins at $40 per hour of instruction.

- Keep and submit accurate attendance records
- Complete occasional online training
