Installation & Maintenance Technician Director directs the installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of switches, cables, and other telecommunications equipment in the field to ensure optimum network usage and quality. Ensures compliance to customer specifications and company requirements. Being an Installation & Maintenance Technician Director leads all functions and ensures they are completed on time and within budget. Oversees the scheduling of installation and maintenance services. Additionally, Installation & Maintenance Technician Director requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Installation & Maintenance Technician Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. •General knowledge of boilers, chillers and HVAC operations
•Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; HVAC; plumbing; pneumatics etc.).
•Ability to read and understand operating and safety manuals and observe all safety precautions
•Good communication skills and ability to work with a minimum of supervision
•Ability to do repetitive bending, lifting (50 pounds), squatting, and kneeling
•Ability to perform work related computer data entry, on-line training and some knowledge of basic Outlook.
•Ability to climb ladders and stairs
•Repair and/or replace light bulbs, ballasts, receptacles, switches and light fixtures
•Clear drains, repair leaks, repair/replace valves, ball cocks and perform other plumbing repairs as needed
•Clean and maintain assigned equipment, tools, and shop areas
•Performs general maintenance of the buildings and equipment. Accomplishes this by minor repair work, painting, light carpentry, as well as general maintenance/repair of equipment.
•Provides other general assistance as needed and/or requested. Including hauling, moving items, setting up the conference rooms, picking up parts or other items as requested by the Director
