Description
A Senior HR Generalist oversees various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. They play a pivotal role in maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring smooth HR operations.
Responsibilities- Strategic Planning and Business Alignment:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align HR practices with the company’s strategic plan.
- Analyze workforce requirements and trends to ensure the right talent is in the right roles.
- Employee Relations and Conflict Management:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relation issues.
- Provide counsel on policy interpretation and conflict resolution.
- Conduct impartial investigations and escalate issues when necessary.
- Talent Management and Development:
- Participate in designing and delivering employee relations policies.
- Assist with performance evaluations and employee engagement initiatives.
- Track and analyze employee relations trends, making recommendations for corrective strategies.
- Administrative and Compliance Duties:
- Complete employee separation processes (exit interviews, property retrieval, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records, including salary adjustments and compliance reports.
- Ensure HRIS data integrity and proper file retention.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in similar fields- Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years as a Human Resources Generalist or Specialist.
- Experience working with labor unions.
- HR Certifications preferred
- Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with employment/labor laws and best practices.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to build trust with stakeholders.
