Human Resources Director jobs in Hawaii
Human Resources Director plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance. Administers human resources programs and policies to reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforce. Being a Human Resources Director maintains broad and current subject matter knowledge and expertise in federal and state employment laws to advise leadership with solutions for human resources issues and evolving organizational needs. Implements an HRIS or other system to facilitate processes and provide data and reporting on HR activity. Additionally, Human Resources Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Human Resources Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Human Resources Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Starting pay for this role is $90,000 annually
Schedule: Monday - Friday , 40 hour work week

Qualifications And Abilities- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent or up to ten years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience .
- 2-3 years supervisory experience required .
- Demonstrated abilities in human resources operations and administration .
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to Management for improvement of Waikiki Health policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities in personnel matters.
- Directs and oversees employee relation cases including but not limited to, conducting investigations, mediations, and conflict resolution.
- Oversees the submission of annual liability insurance renewal for health center through the Federal Tort Claims Act and regularly updates MIEC on provider status for gap coverage .
- Reviews, approves, and submits insurance claims involving workers compensation and temporary disability.
- Other duties as assigned
- Waikiki Health requires proof of the following immunization; with or without reasonable accommodation: TB skin test or chest x-ray, Hep B (optional).
