Head of Anesthesiology is responsible for the efficient operation of anesthesia services. Develops, implements, and maintains anesthesia procedures and practices. Being a Head of Anesthesiology works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Manages a staff of anesthesia technicians and nurses. Additionally, Head of Anesthesiology requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top management. The Head of Anesthesiology manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Minimum Education Level
High School Diploma/GED and working towards a CDA
Preferred Education Level
CDA, Associates, or higher, in early childhood education, social work, or related field
Experience
Some experience preferred, Head Start experience preferred

2 years of direct experience with children birth to 5 and their families
1 year of Head Start experience
Personal characteristics: Self-motivated, compassionate, flexible, dependable, enthusiastic, inclusive
Certifications: CDA (to be completed within two years) or equivalent, driver’s license
Physical abilities: Lift 30 pounds
