Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ancillary Services Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home inspection services and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As an Ancillary Services Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of supplementary inspection services that support our core home inspection offerings. This role may lead to a position of Home Inspector for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct various ancillary inspections including but not limited to radon testing, mold assessment, well inspections, water testing, and sewer line inspections (sewer scopes), pool/spa inspections.
• Accurately document and report findings in a clear and professional manner.
• Ensure all inspection equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain inspection results and answer any questions.
• Collaborate with the home inspection team to provide comprehensive service packages.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in relevant fields preferred.
• Proven experience in home inspection or a related field.
• Strong understanding of building systems, construction, and home maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in using inspection tools and software.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a drug screening.
• Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement initially/company car after proven success in the role).

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in radon testing, mold assessment, or other relevant ancillary services.
• Experience with well inspections, water testing, and sewer line inspections (sewer scopes).
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Very strong customer service orientation.
