Head Nurse - Emergency Room directs nursing service activities in the emergency room. Additionally, Head Nurse - Emergency Room typically requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a director. The Head Nurse - Emergency Room manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.   • We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at The Rhythm Room Restaurant and lounge. A new upscale restaurant and lounge coming to Peninsula Town Center, Hampton, Va. JULY 2024. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence, a strong background in managing the back of house operations, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality meals. As the Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen staff, ordering ingredients, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Manage the back of house operations, including supervising kitchen staff, organizing work schedules, and maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.

    2. Prepare and cook meals in accordance with the restaurant's standards, ensuring high quality and presentation.

    3. Order and monitor the inventory of ingredients and kitchen supplies, ensuring their availability for daily operations and minimizing waste.

    4. Collaborate with the restaurant management team to develop and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

    5. Train and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills, maintain consistency in food preparation, and ensure adherence to sanitation and safety standards.

    6. Monitor food quality and presentation, addressing any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction and uphold the restaurant's reputation.

    7. Develop and implement cost-saving measures without compromising the quality of dishes.

    8. Stay updated with industry trends, new cooking techniques, and emerging ingredients to continuously innovate and improve the menu offerings.

    9. Collaborate with the front of house staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination between the kitchen and dining area.

    10. Maintain knowledge of dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests to accommodate guest needs.

    Qualifications:

    1. Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in an upscale restaurant or similar establishment.

    2. Proficient in managing the back of house operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and kitchen organization.

    3. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.

    4. Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.

    5. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.

    6. Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

    7. Exceptional creativity and ability to develop innovative dishes with a focus on quality and presentation.

    8. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

    9. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    10. Degree or certification in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
