Golf Greenskeeper performs various golf course maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, and edging. Lays sod, plants trees, and seeds turf. Being a Golf Greenskeeper repairs ball marks on greens, tees and fairway divots. Maintains bunkers and sand traps, changes holes, and performs other general maintenance activities. Additionally, Golf Greenskeeper may be responsible for the upkeep and fueling of golf course maintenance equipment. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Golf Greenskeeper works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Position: Greenskeeper – Grow-In Crew

Position Summary
The Grounds Crew Member safely utilizes a variety of tools and equipment to perform maintenance duties around the golf course construction site, common grounds, and maintenance facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· Work as part of a small team to seed golf course tees and fairways.
· Hand pick sticks on greens, tees, and fairways prior to seeding the golf course.
· Run water by hand to control dust and wind erosion.
· Assist in pre-plant fertilizing of greens sites and seeding.
· Mow the turf as it grows in.
· Work in a variety of different weather events including heat, rain, and wind.
· Ability to transition from golf course construction to maintenance as the course grows in.
· Perform daily maintenance tasks on the golf course and grounds as well as the maintenance facility and clubhouse as assigned and directed.
· Perform golf course service and set up work as directed.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma preferred.
· 1 year experience with equipment in golf course maintenance or landscaping preferred.
· Ability to lift up to 50lb materials regularly as a part of the seeding process.
· Ability to prioritize safety in a fast-paced environment around a variety of construction vehicles and equipment.
· Valid driver’s license. Driving record meeting Company safety policies and guidelines.
· Demonstrated ability to operate golf course equipment.
· Demonstrated quality verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
· Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.
Working Conditions
Work hours may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. May be exposed to daily to inclement weather, potentially dangerous chemicals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers, misdirected golf balls, sharp and rapid equipment movement. Injury may result to exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed.
