We’re seeking an experienced exam development or educational publishing professional to join our Certification team as the CFE Exam Program Manager. In this role, you will act as the primary owner, overseer, and manager of our CFE Exam and the fraud examination body of knowledge on which it is based.
You will also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of test development activities and content-related initiatives for the CFE Exam. Although this position is mostly remote, applicants must be able to commute to the downtown Austin area at least once a week, or as business necessitates.

Essential Functions:
- Acts as the primary owner of and project manager for test development activities and content-related initiatives.
- Supervises members of the internal exam content team.
- Manages processes, schedules, subject-matter experts, and outside vendors involved in the creation and maintenance of the CFE Exam and related content.
- Collaborates with internal and external subject-matter experts to identify specific knowledge to be tested on the CFE Exam and develop content.
- Facilitates exam development workshops and manages all related activities and assignments.
- Acts as the primary owner of the fraud examination body of knowledge and ensures that CFE Exam content and structure accurately represent it.
- Performs and oversees quality assurance checks and assists with the writing, editing, and reviewing of content, as needed.
- Ensures CFE Exam content, structure, and methodology are sound and adheres to psychometric and examination best practices.
- Supports internal teams and departments in investigating and responding to exam security issues.
- Answers requests from members and others regarding CFE Exam content, structure, and resources.
- Collaborates with other departments to implement exam program improvements, including the development and launch of new products, resources, and technology platforms.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
- 4–6 years of previous editorial, publishing, professional certification, or project management experience.
- Experience with writing, editing, and providing guidance on the development of test questions/assessments.
- Strong leadership skills and prior experience with managing teams, individual contributors, and deadline-driven projects.
- High attention to detail with exceptional organization and time management skills
- Excels in creating and managing project schedules, setting priorities, delegating, and multi-tasking.
- Strong developmental editing and writing skills.
- Knowledge of credentialing industry best practices a plus.
- Experience using item banking software and exam delivery platforms a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with internal and external resources.
- Excellent usage of English grammar, syntax, and punctuation; thorough understanding of style and current English usage.
- Strong interest in developing expertise related to the anti-fraud field.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Able to earn CFE designation at time of hire or soon thereafter a plus.
