Hedging Strategist – Investment Management

A dynamic financial firm seeks a Currency Strategist to establish and manage a comprehensive hedging approach. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with investment and operations teams to implement effective hedging strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker who is also hands-on in trade execution and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Set up hedging strategies, including counterparty engagement and negotiation.
• Provide expert advice to investment teams on hedging strategy.
• Oversee hedging counterparties, pricing, and collateral negotiation.
• Manage daily operations of currency overlay portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial standards.
• Evaluate and improve operational risk management procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience in FX and interest rate derivatives.
• End-to-end experience in derivatives trading.
• Proficiency in numeric, Excel, and financial modeling.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Financial analysis and interpretation skills.
