Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Being a Flight Medic replenishes the aircraft with medical supplies after flights. Must be CPR certified. Additionally, Flight Medic requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to manager. Flight Medic's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Straight Flight is a subsidiary of Sierra Nevada Corporation since 2007 and is equipped with three 18,000 square foot hangars with back shops for fabrication of both metal and composite parts, avionics repair, and painting projects. Straight Flight became a Certified Repair Station with the Federal Aviation Administration in 1992 and was also approved by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in 2007. Straight Flight currently holds a very impressive Operations Specification that includes 5 Class ratings. Employee will be responsible performing avionics troubleshooting and new installations on both turboprop and jet aircraft in the general aviation / corporate aviation arena. The position will require the ability to make decisions related to the proper techniques and materials needed to perform the work. Employee must be proficient in all aircraft manufacturer’s support manuals with focus on wiring diagrams. Employee must be familiar with aircraft radio and navigation systems operations including control servos. Employee will supervise other personnel in the department and interface with customers. Employee will be responsible for basic system compatibility engineering and quoting aircraft new installs to internal staff. Salary & Benefits 4 – day work week, Tuesday through Friday (minimum 40 hours a week) Day Shift 7:00AM to 5:30PM Salary range - $42 to $50 per hour depending on experience Company sponsored health benefits after 30 days 401K available after 30 days – company match has vesting period Personal Time Off (PTO) available after 30 days Must-haves: Associate’s or Bachelor’s and at typically 10 or more years of relevant experience in general aviation and corporate aircraft A higher level degree may substitute for experience Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations Ability to speak, read and write in English Ability to read wiring diagrams in detail Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications, and service bulletins Must possess own hand tools to complete any maintenance function No limitations on confined space entry and ability to lift 50 pounds No drug or alcohol convictions within the last 5 years Participation in random drug and alcohol testing pool mandatory Background check applies – driving and criminal records reviewed Preferred: Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Power plant certification with no prior FAA violations Avionics manufacturer training –Garmin, Honeywell, King, or Aspen Experience with computerized maintenance manuals IMPORTANT NOTICE: To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
