Flight Instructor instructs student pilots in flight procedures and techniques in ground school courses and flight training. Prepares lesson plans. Being a Flight Instructor evaluates and monitors students performance. This position is typically is represented by a senior level pilot. 1. Summary of Position:
Instruct helicopter type ratings, recurrent flight training and special flight courses for AWTA in accordance with the relative syllabus, in a timely and professional manner. Participate on the development of new training courses and ensure a high level of paperwork and record keeping. Occasionally deliver the courses off site.

A. Education
Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate with Instrument Rating. 3000 hrs Total Flight Time. CFI required CFII preferred. |
B. Experience
A minimum of 5 years experience performing helicopter instruction and/or flying. |
C. Competencies & Attributes
1. | Instructor and/or examiner back ground in helicopters |
2. | Rotorcraft Helicopter Certificate |
3. | Strong IFR experience and knowledge |
4. | Excellent interpersonal communications skills and MS Office knowledge. |
D. Licensure/Certification
FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter with Instrument Required. FAA CFI required CFII preferred |
