Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Duties:
• Oversee the transition to a new ERP system
• Improve the month end close process
• Coordinate external audits
• Assist in preparation of tax returns
• Improve our financial reporting
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance and contribute to the company's strategic objectives
• Ability to manage a staff of accounting and finance professionals
• Projects and duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Experience with multi-entity integrated accounting software
• Knowledge of the full accounting cycle
