Finance Director jobs in Colorado
Finance Director directs an organization's financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, risk, tax, and treasury. Being a Finance Director generally is the second most senior finance executive. Requires a master's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent. Additionally, Finance Director may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief financial officer (CFO). The Finance Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Finance Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Finance and Business Services will provide the strategic vision and leadership necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the company's finance, facilities, and information technology functions. This role entails establishing and upholding financial and risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's financial health, as well as overseeing general office management operations to maintain a high-quality work environment in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Education And Experience- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field; OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years' experience in senior-level organizational operations leadership, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- At least three years' experience in managing IT departments and facilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively to achieve organizational goals.
- Non-profit finance or accounting experience is desirable.
- Experience working with and supervising individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Lived experience with a disability is preferred.
Some local travel may be required for official business purposes. A valid driver's license and car insurance are necessary.
Working Conditions- Office environment with prolonged computer usage.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to work remotely with internet access if required.
