Field Engineering Manager - Construction supervises on-site technical oversight activities to provide engineering guidance and monitoring for construction projects. Monitors construction progress and conducts daily site inspections to ensure work complies with time, budget, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Being a Field Engineering Manager - Construction enforces quality control procedures and inspection protocols to ensure that standards, designs, blueprints, and specifications are understood and followed. Troubleshoots technical issues that arise on-site and consults with architects, contractors, and supervisors to develop and implement solutions with minimal disruption to project schedules. Additionally, Field Engineering Manager - Construction documents construction activities using logs, progress, and inspection reports and regularly updates status to project managers. Procures and coordinates any additional resources required to support field engineering activities. Attends project meetings to provide technical input and recommend improving construction processes. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Field Engineering Manager - Construction supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Field Engineering Manager - Construction typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. You will be the person to lead ReadyFlo to our next phase in renewable energy strategy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage and develop all the engineering departments activities that support our clients and future clients' needs in the renewables and oil and gas industry. Projects range from hydrogen generation and process modules to custody transfer oil & gas measurement and sampling systems, chemical injection, PLC control panels, etc.
    • Perform system engineering, review and approval as required for mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Familiarity with application, sizing, and specification of mechanical components such as pumps, heat exchangers, valves, chillers, vessels, filtration, meters, instrumentation, etc.
    • Review and approve all deliverables related to mechanical systems and confirm conformance to industry standards, codes, and customer specifications.
    • Provide technical direction and mentoring to employees on the team.
    • Assist with creating efficient shop execution in regard to optimizing design for manufacturability, jigs, quality assurance, etc.
    • Develop and maintain processes to manage workload and priorities.
    • Manage the quotation and estimating team/function.

    Qualifications

    • 5-10 years' experience as an Engineering Manager (preferably
    • Experience and knowledge of industrial/mechanical/chemical processes and equipment required.
    • Experience in translating design concepts to commercialization is required and demonstrated success with front-end innovation is strongly preferred.
    • Highly Proficient in SolidWorks preferred.
    • Familiarity with FEA preferred.
    • Knowledge of applicable industry codes & standards such as ASME, API, NEC is required.
    • Hard working, determined, resourceful, motivated, out of the box thinker and commitment to "make things happen".
    • Demonstrates integrity and pride in providing high quality and accurate information.
    • Proactive attitude to learn new products and technologies.
    • Must be very hands on & knowledgeable of how things are built etc.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Background in Fabrication & Manufacturing.
    • Experience with hydrogen & renewable energy related processes and systems a plus.

    Salary: $110000.00 - $165000.00 per year
