Facilities Manager manages the maintenance, construction, repair, and refurbishment operations of one or more facilities or properties. Implements policies and procedures that ensure the optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Being a Facilities Manager monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Additionally, Facilities Manager trains supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for construction projects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm, overtime as needed, including nights and weekends. MUST be able to work 7 days a week during harvest season.
Basic job Duties: Will be responsible for all aspects of facilities and personnel management, including proper use and maintenance of equipment, timely and accurate records of inbound receipts and outbound shipments, sanitation, and housekeeping. Will be responsible for communicating with farmer members to ensure facilities readiness for receiving and storage of grain. Will be responsible for upholding quality standards in drying and storage of grain and organizing transfers via tractor trailer. Personnel management will include maintaining a clean, safe and productive work environment while keeping accurate records of time worked for each employee. The supervisor will be responsible for upholding corporate policies and communicating any personnel or safety concerns with management to ensure compliance with labor law, OSHA and other regulatory standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess basic math skills.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently.
Must be willing and able to climb up to 50 ft.
Must be willing and able to bend, stoop, twist, turn, push and pull throughout the day.
Must be willing and able to lift to 50 lbs.
Must be willing and able to use dust protection equipment.
Must be willing and able to work in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time. (Heat, cold, humidity, rain, etc.)
Must be willing and able to work with automated equipment and control panels.
Must be willing and able to ride a man lift (open belt/cage lift).
Must have 5 years of on-the-job supervisory experience.
Must have 2 years of facilities management experience.
Must be mechanically inclined (heavy maintenance/construction experience preferred).
