Estate Planning Director directs all aspects of the estate planning function including sales, staffing, and supervision. Participates in training and estate planning workshops. Being an Estate Planning Director ensures that the agency stays abreast of regulatory guidelines and new trends in the field. Researches and advises on tax, technical, and legal questions. Additionally, Estate Planning Director introduces new life products to the field and contributes to design of related software and tools. May be a speaker at insurance conferences or meetings. Requires a bachelor's degree of business, marketing, or mathematics. Typically reports to top management. May require Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). The Estate Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Estate Planning Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     This job plans administrative, financial, and operational activities for the regional executive team, acts as a point of contact between top management and employees/stakeholders and oversees projects of high importance, providing guidance as needed. Assumes responsibility for regional operations rhythms and strategic execution processes in alignment with system operational standards and leads regional initiatives on behalf leadership.

    Education

    Required - Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration or related field.

    Work Experience

    Preferred - Master's degree.

    Required - 5 years of related healthcare experience, including 2 years of supervision or management experience

    Preferred - Experience In Project Management And/or Change Management

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
    • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.

    • Leads the coordination, implementation and execution of operational rhythms and processes in alignment with system operational standards.
    • Helps to establish accountability across regional teams by making sure appropriate milestones and measurements are built into business and project plans.
    • Drives cross-functional initiatives and monitors the execution of regional change initiatives with senior leadership.
    • Aligns stakeholders on priorities and outcomes through comprehensive communication plans and rhythms.
    • Synthesizes analysis to deliver actionable, insightful, data-driven recommendations to leadership.
    • Serves as liaison to system shared services and support functions on behalf of the region.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.
