Environmental Engineer identifies, assesses and resolves problems concerning the environment. May also design, install, operate and maintain measuring apparatus to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land, and water. Being an Environmental Engineer performs experiments and reports findings on environmental consequences of equipment, tools, and procedures. Ensures the organization's conformance to federal, state, and local environmental legislation. Additionally, Environmental Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be an Environmental Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. What You’ll Do- A ssist the Senior Engineer with engineering studies, designs, and specifications
- Visit job sites to perform project tasks as directed by the Senior Engineer including sample collection, drilling oversight, surveying as well as construction oversight.
- Office work may include engineering design, data tabulation and will also prepare reports and proposals.
- Bachelors in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 0-3 years experience
- A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others
- Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets, word processing software and/or CADD is helpful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in field setting (drilling oversight, soils logging, construction oversight)
- Valid driver’s license is required
