Job Overview
The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for managing employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and compliance with CEC policies and regulations. This role will also serve as the Title IX coordinator and collaborate closely with HR leadership and legal counsel.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct employee interviews and investigations into employee complaints or grievances.
- Mediate disputes between employees or between employees and management.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on employee relations issues.
- Ensure compliance with CEC policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, including Title IX requirements.
- Collaborate with HR leadership and legal counsel to develop and implement employee relations strategies and initiatives.
- Serve as the designated Title IX coordinator responsible for ensuring compliance with Title IX regulations related to sex discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual violence.
- Oversee the development and implementation of Title IX policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Coordinate investigations into Title IX complaints and allegations, ensuring a prompt and thorough response in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional HR projects and initiatives to enhance employee relations practices and processes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of employee relations investigations, resolutions, and outcomes.
- Participate in employee performance discussions and disciplinary meetings.
- Prepare reports and summaries of employee relations activities, trends, and issues.
- Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity in handling employee relations documentation and information.
- In collaboration with the Director of Employee Relations, develop and deliver training programs and workshops for employees and managers on topics related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and compliance.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in employee relations or a related HR role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including Title IX.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively address complex employee relations issues.
