Job Summary: The Director of the Emergency Services Department plays a crucial role in ensuring consistent high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include service assurance, personnel management, resource allocation, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities:- π Identify and implement solutions to real/potential problems affecting service quality
- π€ Participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, providing ongoing communication
- π Advance the patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department
- ποΈ Coach and provide feedback to subordinates, facilitating their development
- πΌ Adhere to all Human Resource policies and effectively communicate departmental information
- π Enforce standards of emergency department care and develop processes for compliance monitoring
- π Develop, implement, and evaluate ongoing emergency services programs to ensure quality patient care
- π Monitor compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards, ensuring patient safety
- π
Oversee a PI program to monitor and evaluate critical aspects of care
- π Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree preferred
- πΌ 3 years of experience in emergency services and leadership roles
- π Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in Virginia
- π ACLS, PALS/ENPC, and BLS certifications required
