Summary

Department: EMU

Shift Timings: 19:00 - 07:30- Monday to friday (3 Days/12 Hours)​

Per Week: 36 Hours

We cover a level IV 6 bed EMU at a level 1 Trauma hospital and 4 other hospitals around the Austin metroplex. It is a requirement to travel to all facilities, performing routine, stat, LTM EEG procedures Our patient demographics range between outpatient, adults and Neuro-Critical Care.

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.

• Attache, connect, and operate electrodes from specified body areas to leads from electroencephalograph machine.
• Review patient's record and instructs patients prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient during procedures and reports any abnormal findings.
• Identify and correct for artifacts.
• Edit and forward results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain EEG equipment and supplies.
