Who we are:

Industrial Electric Supply (IES) was founded in 1977. It is a privately-owned, full-line, and full-service wholesale electrical distributor for complete lines of electrical, lighting, industrial, data and telecommunications networking products, wire and cable, tools, and safety equipment. We are a distributor of quality electrical products and material to the utility, construction, commercial, and industrial markets. Job Summary:

The Director of Distribution is responsible for the strategic leadership and daily management of the IES Distribution team. This role ensures that all projects are carried out efficiently, safely, and within budget. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of IES. The position involves creating, maintaining, and growing relationships with both existing and new customers. Responsibilities include overseeing teams, sales team leadership, profit and loss analysis, coordinating with other departments, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee sales operations including team development, order fulfillment, and customer service for the electrical supply business.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of sales staff, fostering a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the sales operations, develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency, and implement best practices.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining excellent service standards, handling escalations, and addressing customer inquiries promptly.
• Manage the profit and loss for the company, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
• Develop and track KPIs, analyze trends, and provide insights for informed decision-making.
• Align operations with sales, marketing, procurement, and finance to meet business goals.
• Complies with established IES work rules, policies, and procedures.
• Engages with other team members to continuously strive for process improvements, reduce inefficiencies and costs, and increase profitability.
• Willingly takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in business administration, Information Technology, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management within an Epicor Eclipse environment, preferably in Electrical Supply.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and support users.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing job-related data.

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated expertise in project management or proficiency in process improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of the electrical industry or the specific sector of the company's operations, including distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale, is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
• Lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access various departments of a given location.

Salary Range: $150,000-$160,000 annually
