Distribution Center Supervisor jobs in Oklahoma

The Distribution Center Supervisor oversees the selection, shipping, and receiving processes to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service. This position involves leading a team to execute department goals, analyzing and reacting to demands, and maintaining accurate inventory procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for assigning work, providing clear communication, and fostering a safe working environment while demonstrating strong leadership qualities.

Essential Job Functions:

• Make informed decisions based on individual customer requirements.
• Provide assistance and clear communication to internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of distribution policies, procedures, and warehouse management systems to resolve issues effectively.
• Led project teams to maintain inventory accuracy and streamline receiving and shipping processes.
• Managed customer orders, ensured timely shipments, and organized same-store shipments when possible.
• Coordinate customer pickup shipments and arrange schedules accordingly.
• Maintain professionalism and effectively always interact with employees.
• Ensure compliance with safety requirements and regulations.
• Provide guidance and counseling to team members on performance and disciplinary matters.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Perform additional tasks as directed, utilizing comparable skills.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work environment.
• Monitor selection, shipping, and receiving progress, addressing difficulties and reporting abnormal situations.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle ERP.
• Basic algebra skills for inventory management.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Willingness to lead through a servant leadership mentality.
• Ability to multitask and delegate effectively.
• Willingness to empower others.

Equipment:

Personal computer, RF computer, calculator, and safety shoes.
