Digital Design Engineering Director directs and oversees the digital design of integrated circuits and related development. Has overall responsibility for all phases of physical design including floor planning, clock synthesis, timing optimization and signal integrity. Being a Digital Design Engineering Director ensures the engineering design supports the goals and strategy of the business. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Digital Design Engineering Director typically reports to a top management. The Digital Design Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Digital Design Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Computer Aided Design Technician at Palmer Engineering. The selected candidate(s) will be working with our highly qualified structural engineers - and other CAD technicians within the transportation section - to prepare plans for new bridges and bridge rehabilitations. This position also includes bridge inspection opportunities.
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software and drafting/engineering plans
- Experience with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer is a plus
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Associate's degree in Engineering or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
