Desktop Publishing Operator utilizes desktop publishing tools, equipment, and software packages to create and produce a variety of high quality communication materials that incorporate text and graphic images. Designs page layouts, charts, graphs, and computer graphics. Being a Desktop Publishing Operator selects, imports, and edits graphic images used to enhance the impact of the materials. May require an associate degree. Additionally, Desktop Publishing Operator typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Desktop Publishing Operator works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Job Summary: Press Operator tasks: Plate Making, Paper preperation, color setting, registration setting, and quality control of our printed products.
Job Functions: The successful candidate must be a flexible, self-starter, attentive to detail, diplomatic, able to provide direction, and able to multitask. Candidates for this position should have strong interpersonal skills and exhibit an ability to work efficiently as a team member as well as a team leader.
Essential Functions: Working knowledge and proficiency in a safe efficient operation of our printing equipment directly responsible for quality control, able to read follow print request instructions, able to do maintenance on the equipment ranging from preventative maintenance checks, to mechanical repairs, be accountable for waste, working knowledge of fork-lifts and clamp trucks (We will do training). Maintain a safe, clean, productive work area and follow all company, local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to job safety
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements: Experience in the print media industry is a bonus, but not necessary.
High School Diploma
