Community Engagement Specialist and Fundraiser

Organization Overview

The GOD’S CHILD Project (GCP) is a nonprofit charity incorporated in 1991. GCP work to provide healthcare, education, personal and community development, and anti-human trafficking services in Guatemala, the United States, and India.

Position Overview

The Community Engagement Specialist and Fundraiser serves as a public face of the Bismarck office of The GOD’S CHILD Project. Reporting to the Executive Director in Golden Valley, this role provides leadership and direction to volunteers and donors, ensuring the goals and mission of the GOD’S CHILD Project are effectively delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Fundraising and Donor Relationship Management:
• Focus on fundraising efforts, including cultivating and nurturing major donors (individuals, corporations, and foundations) in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.
• Develop major special events in Bismarck to raise funds and engage the community.
• Volunteer Development and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Recruit, engage, and develop volunteers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate public presentations and involvement with organizations such as service clubs and the Chamber to promote GCP in the Bismarck area.
• Reporting and Metrics:
• Regularly report on the Bismarck office’s progress toward established performance metrics.
• Develop an annual plan of major donor activities in Bismarck for approval by the Executive Director.
• Other Duties:
• As required by the organization.

Qualifications

• Development Management Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in development management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
• Education:
• Minimum B.A. in Marketing, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Skills and Attributes:
• Problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a quick-moving team.
• Maintain a sense of humor.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in work product.
• Technologically friendly.

Employment Details

• Position Type: Exempt full-time.
• Work Schedule: Occasional evening or weekend participation for special activities or in case of natural or sociopolitical disasters affecting the region or client population served by GCP.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
