Data Modeling Analyst jobs in Texas

Position Overview: The Data Scientist (Actuarial Modeling) will work with actuarial and other business teams to develop data-driven models and predictive analytics across different disciplines. The Data Scientist will analyze data, build models, and provide recommendations to the business while ensuring accuracy and legitimacy of data sources and outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven models and apply predictive analytics to projects across different disciplines such as insurance, healthcare, finance, etc.
• Analyze data sets to identify trends, create solutions, and provide recommendations to actuarial and business teams.
• Ensure accuracy and legitimacy of data sources and outputs.
• Integrate data systems and be responsible for data quality (validation, accuracy, completeness).
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines in Python/SQL to ingest, process, store, and disseminate data.
• Provide technical support to users in the areas of data usage, analysis, and reporting.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Computer Science, or Statistics.
• 3 years of experience in data science, predictive analytics, and scripting in languages such as Python and SQL.
• Strong understanding of developing data-driven models and predictive analytics.
• Knowledge of data infrastructure and experience with data visualization tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
